Self Care for trauma workers and clinicians is a crucial aspect of maintaining one's effectiveness and overall health.    Concepts of Compassion Fatigue, Secondary Traumatic Stress, self care and treatment are explored.  Vignettes and online resources are provided.

 

Course Objectives

The participant will recognize the symptoms and understand the symptoms of secondary traumatic stress and compassion fatigue.

The participant will be familiar possible interventions and solutions to this challenge.
