Name: Being Present: Managing Stress and Understanding Anxiety
Description: To decrease stress and anxiety we must decrease our tendency to dwell on the past and worry about the future. This may include psychodynamic techniques to uncover the past stimuli but it will be working on them in the present where the healing will take place. This concept sounds far more simplistic than it is to put in practice. We will look briefly at the biology underlying stress and anxiety and give resources and ideas for stress relief that may be included in your practice.
